Sadly, the family announces the passing of Eleanor Anne Moyer, 81, of Kitchener, ON, on August 28, 2019 at Nithview Home in New Hamburg. Eleanor was born on May 14, 1938 in Galt, ON., to Stella and Enan Hunsperger. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Blake Bruce Moyer, and her brothers, John Wesley Hunsperger and Ralph Allen Hunsperger. Eleanor is survived by her children Jeffrey (Nadine) Moyer, Julie (Bryan) Moyer Suderman, Jeremy (Fong Hsueh) Moyer and grandchildren Matthew Suderman, Erin Moyer and Benjamin Moyer. She is also survived by her sister Carol (Bert) Martin, sisters-in-law Blossom Hunsperger, Sharon Hunsperger and Jacquelyn Hunsperger, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. Eleanor’s family will receive relatives and friends from 6:30-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener (519) 749-8467. A Celebration of Eleanor’s Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, with Pastor Rene Baergen officiating. There will be visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. If desired, memorial donations may be made in Eleanor’s memory to Mennonite Central Committee or Nithview Home.
