Elda Mary Marinigh Caron

The family of Elda Mary Marinigh announces her passing on Thursday, August 22nd, 2019. A loving wife and mother, she passed peacefully surrounded by family. Born in Iroquois Falls to Pietro and Aurora (nee Morandin) Caron, she resided in Kirkland Lake where she met her husband of 48 years, Edward John Marinigh (predeceased). They made their home in Kirkland Lake, where they raised their 5 children, Tina Phippen (Wayne), Edward (Shelley), Peter (Darlene), Michael (Kim), and Karen. Noni was most proud of her 10 grandchildren – Leah, Lauren, Julian, Ashley, Michael, Jack, Brandon, Lindsey, Alicia and Nicole. She is survived by her brother Rio (Marianne) of Waterloo, and her sister, travel companion and partner in hijinks Elsie Kenny (late Ted) of Iroquois Falls, many nieces, nephews and extended family. Mom was the centre of the home – Chief Executive Officer of 14 Government Road East, a gracious hostess who welcomed all with open arms. A fabulous cook, she ensured everyone was well fed, and surrounded by love and laughter. She is predeceased by her brothers Frank, Leno and Eddie Caron, and her sisters Lena Naletto, Rita Hukezalie, and Alma Sandrin. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the wonderful nurses on KIDD 7 at Kingston Health Sciences Centre – KGH, and ask that donations in her memory be made, in lieu of flowers, to Kirkland and District Hospital Foundation, Bag Service 3000, Kirkland Lake ON P2N 3P4. Cremation has taken place, with private interment at a later date. Online condolences at www.wartmanfuneralhomes.com
