The death occurred peacefully at the Colville Manor on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 of WW2 veteran Edith Marion Matheson (nee Ross) age 102 years and formerly of Albion Cross, PE.
Beloved wife of the late Daniel Harold Matheson and loving mother of Donna Blanchard (Nick), Shirley MacClure (Shane) and George (Melaney). Marion will be lovingly remembered by her 6 grandchildren Scott Blanchard (Sarah), Kent Blanchard, Kari MacDonald (Tyler), William, Ila and Rae Matheson and 3 great-grandchildren Mason and Sutton MacDonald and Grace Blanchard. She is survived by her sister-in-law Pearle Ross, numerous nieces and nephews and will be deeply missed by her Colville Manor family.
Predeceased by her parents Neil S. and Charlotte “Lottie” Ross, brothers Daniel, Charlie, Neil, Fred and sisters Muriel, Flora, Winnie and Ruth.
Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home with visiting hours on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 2:30-4pm and 7-8:30pm. A funeral will take place at the Dundas United Church on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 2:00pm. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. If so desired, donations made to the Kings United Church General Fund or the Colville Manor would be appreciated.
