Douglas Otto Curtis
1960-2019
On Saturday, August 24, 2019, Doug “Emmy” Curtis of
Charlottetown passed away peacefully at his residence and is
with his Lord at the age of 59 years.
He was born on March 5, 1960 in Charlottetown, PE and worked
in carpentry for most of his life. He had a love of the outdoors and
was always available to help his family with his multitude of
skills. He improved the lives of all those surrounding him and will be
missed greatly.
Doug is survived by his son
Brendan Curtis (mother Cindy Tasse); his grandchildren Larissa and
Gavin Curtis; his siblings Reagh (Linda) Sherren, Willie Curtis,
Sharon Bell, Gail “Moe” (Russell deceased)
Campbell; and his nieces and nephews Raeanne (Kevin
Curry) Sherren, Nichole (Greg) Nielsen, Evan (Sarah
Beauregard) Sherren, Hunter (Carolyn Crane) Bell, and Jayden
Bell.
He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Agnes
(née Sherren)
Curtis and his sisters Joyce
Hughes and Sylvia Curtis.
There will be a private service and committal
held at The Searletown Cemetery. If
desired, memorial
contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the
Kay Reynolds Centre.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Hennessey
Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made
