McLAREN, Donald Islip (1934 –
2019)
Passed away surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, July
2, 2019 in his 86th year. Beloved husband and soulmate for 50 years of
the late Goldie McLaren (January 1, 2010) of Guelph. Loving father of
Carey (Shari), Craig, Lisa (John) Brombal all of Guelph and Laura
(Dan) McKenna of Richmond Hill. He was Papa to 11 grandchildren,
Ryland, Chandler, Sierra (Oakley), Landon, Cole (Kayla), Autumn
(Neal), Trent (Chloe), Tate, Owen, Eric and Claire who will miss him
dearly. Don will also be missed by Anne and Bob Spencer and his
adopted grandchildren Courtney (Phil and children Ava, Brayden and
Hunter) and Kaileigh. Predeceased by his parents John McLaren and Rose
and Jim Oakes. Survived by sister-in-law June McLaren (late Murray)
and predeceased by sister Ruth Musselle (late George). Also missed by
sisters-in-law Joan Bridgeman, Nancy (John) Aikens, Judy (Maurice)
Deschamps, Debbie (Patrick) D’Arcy, brothers-in-law Conrad (Joan)
George, Gary Martin (late Patricia). The family will host a
celebration of Don’s life on Sunday, July 21st, 2019 at the
Puslinch Community Centre, 23 Brock Rd. RR#3 Guelph, Ontario N1H 6H9
at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. All are welcome to join the
family in remembering our Dad. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions to the Canadian Liver Foundation would be
appreciated.
