Denis Sylvester

Denis Sylvester
Loving husband of Lillian. Beloved father of Cathy & Bill Collard, Bob & Danielle, Scott & Shannon, Julie & Ken… who are so honoured to call him dad. Adored grandpa to Callia, Mirrah, Aubree, Iyla, Ryan, Keira, Dyson, Liam, Leah and Claire. Much loved by his step family in the United States: Dawn & Mark, Dannie and their children Andy, Thomas, Lily and Jon. Son of the late Fred & June Sylvester. Special brother to Mark & Judy Sylvester, Michael & Ann Sylvester. Denis will also be missed by his nieces and nephews.
Denis grew up on the family farm in Oldcastle and had a passion for horses and horseback riding. He retired from the City of Windsor after many years of service as an Electrician. Denis was a man of strong faith who was very involved with his church, the Knights of Columbus Council 13405 and an avid volunteer with many charities including the Windsor Right to Life and Goodfellows. Denis was an incredibly kind, patient man who could fix anything and was always willing to lend a hand to others. He was an enthusiastic sports fan, who was active and ready for a game of golf or baseball anytime. He was most proud of his family and he was his grandchildren’s biggest fan…and they are his!!
A heartfelt thank you to all of the wonderful people who supported Denis and his family through this journey.
If you so desire, donations to the Our Lady of Guadalupe Home would be appreciated by the family.
