Obituary of David Leyland
Leyland, David Austin Sanderson
November 13, 1944-August 13, 2019
Today, sadly I’m saying goodbye to so many wonderful people. My best friend and companion Gerri, my beautiful children; Angie Leyland (Travis Mitchell), Jenn McGregor (Shane), Scott and Mark Thorne. My grandchildren; Sophie and Darla Leyland and Emma McGregor, my great grandson Elijah. My sisters; Lorna Longton (Neild) and Pamela Leyland (best support person a brother could ever have). The in-laws; Nikky Rowe, Susan Havens, Becky Allison (Paul Dalby), Don and Evan Havens, Bob and Bobby Havens, thank you for making me part of your family. And many great friends; Rob and Lorellei Monroe, Ken Arsenault, Bob Vincent, Jim Seebeck, Lynn Donovan, Terry and Gloria Shaw, to have had the privilege of sharing your lives has been a blessing. Going to miss all my football buddies. Dave Leyland, football coach, bar owner, master gardener, has left us to be reunited with his parents Austin and Vivian (nee Tolland) Leyland, and sister Sheila (Frank) Radlo. Many thanks to PSW Erin and the volunteers, staff, nurses and the PSW’s at Hankinson House for their care and compassion. A Celebration of David’s life will take place at HILL & ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 30 Nelson St. Brantford, 519-752-2543 on Saturday, August 17th, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. Friends are invited to dress casually and wear their Jimmy Buffet shirts. Cremation has taken place. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
