David Ernest
Rose – 66, Truro,
passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, August 15, 2019, at
Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Halifax, he was
the son of the late Ernest and Olive (Peppard) Rose.
David lived in Bedford until 1979 and then moved to Truro and
at the time of his passing, he was a resident of The Magnolia in
Enfield. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. David was an avid
car and truck enthusiast and loved telling you about his pick-up
trucks and old cars. He was always cheerful, loved to talk and will be
missed.
David is survived by his sister, Eileen (Paul) Brown,
Dartmouth; one niece, three nephews and cousins. Along with his
parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Bernice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where the funeral service
will be held 2 p.m., Monday, August 19, 2019. Interment in Robie
Street Cemetery. If so desired, donations in David’s memory
to Diabetes Canada or Heart and Stroke Foundation are welcomed.
