Dan was born July 2, 1968 in Hamilton Ontario. Dan is the son of Phyllis Klepic (Wilson) and the late Jack Klepic. He is survived by Cathy, his loving wife of 30 years, whom he married November 19, 1988, and his sister, Tracy. Together Dan and Cathy have two children; daughter, Rebecca and son, Andrew (Charmaine); and their fur babies, Diamond, Bear, and Peaches.
Dan’s love for life was amazing, and he followed his heart. Dan held strong beliefs and views in which he was direct, honest, and to the point. He always had a joke in his back pocket, and you could count on him to liven up the evening.
Through his life, Dan had proven that he was passionate about many things, the two most important being his family and fur babies. Dan would take his family on camping trips where they would enjoy hiking in the mountains, enjoying Radium Hot Springs, or discovering new biking trails. Dan loved to walk the puppies. Once, he had tried to push a Doberman into a riverbank but ended up falling in instead. It took a few hours for the truck keys to dry.
Dan had also decided to play a prank on his 7-year-old son and convinced him to eat a marshmallow that had just been roasted in the campfire. A few years later Dan had taken the family to Christina Lake, BC, where he rented a speed boat for tubing. He let his son, Andrew, take the wheel and his parents ended up holding onto the boat for dear life….
Dan believed that music was for the soul, and he required the necessary equipment to produce a quality sound. He loved tuning his turntable, blasting the stereo with his new receiver, or simply dancing with his puppies.
Dan’s laughter, music, creativity, joy, and honesty will be missed. He lives in the hearts of his family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services (5502 2 Street SW) on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 11:00am.
