Conrad Larocque
October 2, 1946 – August 14, 2019
The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Conrad at Health Sciences North on Wednesday August 14, 2019 at the age of 72 years. Cherished husband of Lucy Larocque (pre-deceased). Beloved son of Hector and Annette (both pre-deceased) and loving father of Chad, Christy (Norm), Ashley, Linda and Ron (pre-deceased). Proud grandfather of Rebecca, Allison, Kayleigh, Ella, Ava and Kalem.
Conrad was a miner/shotcreter for over 30 years with INCO. With his experience he became owner of C&L Shotcrete Consulting.
His love for his community was like no other, he was the community organizer extraordinaire. Conrad devoted so much of his time as President of the Carrefour Senateur Rheal Belisle Cultural Cenre in Blezard Valley since 1981. In support of the Cultural Centre, Conrad spend countless hours organizing the Valley East Jug Curling tournament which celebrated its 36th year this past spring.
Aside from Conrad’s love for organizing, his greatest love was for his family. He was passionate about fishing, boating, barbecueing and most of all hockey….especially his beloved Sudbury Wolves!
Sadly missed and never forgotten by his siblings, nieces, nephews and friends, and his beloved cat Bella. A celebration of his life will take place at the Carrefour Senateur Rheal Belisle Cultural Centre, 2777 Main Street in Blezard Valley. Details around date & time for his celebration of life will be announced shortly.
Arrangements entrusted to Sudbury Park Lawn Cremation services.
