The family of Clayton Cecil Perrin are saddened to announce his passing on August 28, 2019. Clayton passed away peacefully surrounded by family, in the Dartmouth General Hospital at the age of 86. He was a resident of Woodlawn (Dartmouth) for the past 60 years. Clayton was born in Economy on June 5, 1933. He was the only son of the late Cecil and the late Hazel (Greenough) Perrin. Clayton is survived by and will be forever missed by his wife of 64 years Doris (Berry) and only son Michael (Leslie), Cole Harbour. He was blessed with 2 wonderful grandchildren who he dearly loved, Karley and Riley Perrin, Cole Harbour. Also survived by his sister Dolores Robinson, British Columbia and his nephews and niece.
In his teenage years Clayton worked at the family owned sawmill. He spent his adult years working as a welder and later becoming the superintendent of welders and burners at the Halifax Shipyards. In retirement he loved having long conversations with his many friends, going to yard sales and attending flee markets.
In honoring Clayton’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations gratefully directed to the SPCA Provincial Animal Shelter in Dartmouth.
