Charles Tyers

In Loving Memory of
Charles Melvin Alexander Tyers
June 10th, 1930 – August 20th, 2019
On Tuesday, August 20th, Charles M Tyers,
loving husband of Pauline (Tustian) Tyers
for 58 years and caring father of three children;
Stephen Tyers, Craig Tyers (wife Liisa Tyers)
and Sherri Glass (husband Stuart Glass),
passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus
at the age of 89.
He was born June 10th, 1930 in Redridge, Ontario
to Percy and Matilda (Foster) Tyers.
He received his BA from Toronto University and his Master of Education from Ottawa University.
He taught with joy for the Sudbury District School Board for 32 years, and for 22 of those years he had the honour of being principal.
Together Charlie and Pauline raised their two sons Stephen and Craig, and their daughter Sherri.
He was also the cherished grandfather of Kassie, Korrie, Andrew (wife Abbie), Matthew (Zoey), Devin (wife Tiana), Abbie and Grace as well as the proud great grandfather of Elli. He will be missed by sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Charlie was passionate about sharing his faith with others and was a member of The Gideons for many years. His strong heritage and legacy of loving Christ and his passion for sharing his faith with others will forever be cherished among his family and friends.
He will be sadly missed by not only his immediate family, but as well as his many nieces and nephews and all those who knew him. He will forever be known to us as a man after Gods own heart.
