John Nicholson Campbell, age 75, of Sydney, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at home.
Born on March 28, 1944 in New Waterford, John was the son of the late Murdock and Catherine Campbell.
Left to mourn are his wife, Johanna Campbell (nee Whitehouse); children, Shaun (Nancy) Scharman of St. Peter’s, PE, Suzanne Campbell of Middle Sackville, and Tracy (Clint) Green of Pelham, ON; grandchildren, Devin (Kayla), Nicholas, Abbigail, Jacqueline, Adam, Robbie (Emily), Jessie (Colby) and Lexie; great-grandchildren, Gabby, Gracie, Everly, Sasha, Harper, Dallas, Presley and Grayson; sister, Anna; brother, Steve (Karen); sisters-in-law, Duckie, Ute, Lois, Eunice (Dikey), and Winnie; brother in-law, John (Lois) and very good friends, Shari and Ivan.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his brothers, Tony, David, Rod and brothers-in-law, Arnold, Bernie (Elaine), Alphonse, David and Ken.
John was also dearly loved by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, some of whom have also passed.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of John Campbell will take place at the Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street), Whitney Pier on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 3 – 7 p.m. with prayers held at 6 p.m. with Fr. Paul Murphy officiating.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
