THIBODEAU, “Café” – Alfred Elie – Age 74, of Church Point, passed away peacefully with his loving wife and family by his side on Friday, August 23, 2019 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital after a short battle with cancer. Born March 28, 1945, he was a son of the late Camille and Viola (Saulnier) Thibodeau. Café was a kind, gentle man whose passions were his work and spending time with family and friends. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to a friend or complete stranger. When asked how much do I owe you, he would always answer “a simple thank you is enough”. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Natasha “La P’tite”, Colorado, USA; son, Christopher, New Brunswick. He is survived by siblings, Jean-Baptiste (Dorothy), Church Point; Anne (Dan), Meteghan Station; Winnie (Wayne), Concession; Max (Prescille), Little Brook; Arthur (Francine), Little Brook; Alphie (Rose), St. Bernard; Clarence, Church Point; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Jean-Paul. Cremation has been entrusted to Meteghan Funeral Home. Funeral will be held Saturday, August 31st, at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Church Point, with Father Honoré Kouassi and Wayne Gaudet officiating, where a receiving line will commence at 9:30 a.m. Donations may be made to Jacky Comeau & Friends Cancer Help Fund Association.
