On August 9, 2019, Brian Quon Hip Lee passed away in Penticton surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Xinhui, China on January 15, 1933 and moved to Vancouver in 1949 to join his father’s shoe business on Main Street in Vancouver, BC.
Brian married the love of his life Betty in 1958 and in 1963 moved to Greenwood where he operated the Midway Hotel Cafe. Later in 1963, the Lees became the first Chinese family to live in Osoyoos when they moved there and leased The Star Cafe on Main Str…
