Blake Lee BALL
June 4, 1962 – August 20, 2019
With great sadness we announce the passing of Blake Lee Ball, 57, on August 20, 2019 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Blake was born June 4, 1962 in Edmonton, attended McNally High School and obtained his plumbing journeyman ticket in 1984. Blake was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He was devoted to his family, enjoyed camping and spending time at the cabin at Pigeon Lake. Blake could fix anything and was often volunteered by his wife Karen to help friends, relatives, or co-workers with “just a small problem.” Blake had opportunity to work and live in numerous places including Prince Rupert, B.C. Canmore, AB, as well as dozens of communities around Alberta over his almost 40 year career. The majority of these years were spent working for Gold Bar Contractors. He was a respected colleague and mentor to many. Blake will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 29 years Karen, his children Michael and Nicole, his parents Mavis and Malcolm Ball, brother Blair (Joanne), sister-in-law Crystal, nieces Brianne (Justin), Brittany, Chantelle and Courtney and great-nieces Kennedy and Locklyn, extended family and close friends. Blake was predeceased by his brother Brad in 2008. A celebration of life will be held for Blake at Park Place Funeral Home, 51 Broadway Blvd, Sherwood Park on Monday August 26, 2019 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Edmonton Alberta,. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute. To send condolences, please visit www.parkplacefuneralhome.com
