It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we the family of the late Archibald Egbert Osmond announce his passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Saturday, August 24th, 2019 with his loving family by his side at the age of 80 years. Born in Port aux Basques, NL, Archibald was the son of the late George and Mildred (nee Pope) Osmond. He was also predeceased by his wife Margaret Osmond (nee Battiste) in 2016 and brother Don Osmond.
Archibald leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his loving daughters Carolann (Gerard) Battiste, Wendy (Jason) Anderson; grandchildren Michael Battiste, Amy (Brad) McCullough, Kyle Anderson; great-granddaughter Emma Battiste; brothers Norman (Marion) Osmond, Roy (Grace) Osmond, Dave (Betty) Osmond, Ronnie (Joanne) Osmond and sister-in-law Judy Osmond plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends.
In keeping with Archibald’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Sunday, August 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. (Downtown Location). As per Archibald’s wishes there will be no formal funeral service. Interment of ashes will take place on Monday, August 26th at 11 am from St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, TCH, NL officiated by Rev. Jane Allen. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in memory of Archibald can be made to the St. James Anglican Church.
