Amy Briscoe-Amiro (nee Aubin/Brady) 1929 – 2019
Amy was born in 1929 to Victor & Amy (Pilon) Aubin – predeceased 1952 & 1929 respectively. Survived by sisters Valerie and Adele in Manhattan Beach, California, and predeceased by brothers Raoul and Conrad, and sisters Sylvia Cantwell, Annette Black, and Victorienne Jutras. Amy was raised by her loving parents, James and Virginia (Aubin) Brady, who both predeceased her in 1969. She married her loving husband, Jack Briscoe, in 1951. They had 4 wonderful sons, Douglas (Sylvia), Hilary (Joan), Lawrence (Meredith), and William (Gail). These four sons gave Amy four much-loved granddaughters – Heather (predeceased in 1974), Jaime, Jodi, and Amy, and a great-grandchildren, Payton Rose, Cayden, Bowen, Carter and Brady. Jack passed away in 1969. Amy married her beloved husband, Douglas Amiro, in 1976 and then had four stepchildren, Brian (wife Leslie), Sandra Furlonger, Randall (wife Karen), and Joel (wife Sandra). Douglas passed away in 1996. She is also survived by 16 step-grandchildren: Christopher, Elishia, David, Ryan, Joseph, Tyreece, Thomas, Paige, Aaron, Gemma, Stacy, Jack, Randy, Vanessa, Sarah, and Courtney, as well as many step-great-grandchildren. Amy enjoyed gardening, genealogy, and playing cards, but most of all she loved her family. The would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Elizabeth Centre for the wonderful supportive given to Amy and her family over the last 5 years, thank you. At Amy’s request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation with interment in the Capreol Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Heritage Railroad Museum of Capreol, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Cobalt Floor of Elizabeth Centre in Val Caron would be appreciated by the family.
