Obituary
Joyful and sharp-witted to the very end, Amanda passed gently at the age of 88, to join her parents Joseph and Léa, brothers and sister, and many friends. She is survived by her brother, Peter McAnally.
She also leaves four daughters, Mary-Ann (Richard) Spiteri, Janet “Ana” (David) Bennett, Susan Mann, and Paulette Tarnawski (Lloyd Fitzsimonds).
Precious to her and the joys of her life are grandchildren, Steven, Claire (Nathan), Michael, Alexandra (Ryan), Theo, Renée, Jacob, and great-granddaughters, Elliot Mae and Lennon Grace.
A resourceful and generous woman, she lived a life of service and made genuine connections with people in her neighbourhood and around the world. She will be remembered for her kind, direct, up-beat personality. Her joie de vivre endeared her to everyone she met.
Prayer Service will take place at Foster and McGarvey, 10011-114 Street on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass and final farewell will be held at St. Joseph Basilica, 10044 – 113 Street on Monday, August 19, 2019 at 1:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, Amanda suggested donations to Hope Mission or Angels Anonymous Connections.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Amanda Tarnawski 2019..
