HANNAH, Alexander John Duff ~ age 89 of Kingston, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 8, 2019 in Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Lashburn, SK, he was a son of the late Alexander and Ellen “Nell” (Duff) Hannah. Alexander was a retired Captain and Navigator in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was a former Deacon of the Tremont Baptist Church, had volunteered as an adviser for the Boy Scouts and was an avid card player. He will be sadly missed by his wife Marlene (Cole); daughters, Alexis Hannah (Ernest Parsons), Melvern Square; Stacy Hannah (Ira Quinsey), Toronto, ON; son, Craig (Michelle), Forest Glade; sister, Margaret Hannah, Duncan, BC; brother, Stewart Hannah, Alberta; grandsons, Brian and Clayton; sisters-in-law, Barbara Hannah, Australia and Sharon Anderson, Greenwood; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Alexander was predeceased by brothers, Peter and Ian; sister, Dorothy in infancy; and brother-in-law Don Anderson. In keeping with Alexander’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m., Monday, August 26th in the Kingston United Cemetery with Rev. Leon Langille officiating.
