1928-2019
Alex Hoffmann of Nackawic, NB passed away August 17, 2019 at Hospice
Fredericton.
Alex was born in Mezöberény, Hungary on October 6, 1928, a
son of the late Adam and Julianna (Schoen) Hoffmann, and came to
Canada in 1951. He moved his family to Nackawic in 1970 where he
became an active member of many clubs and social groups, the latest
involving the Fredericton British Car Club and Tops. Alex was
passionate about his community and loved to share life experiences
with everyone he came in contact with. Family meant everything to him
and he meant everything to his family.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lise E. (Gagne) Hoffmann; a
son, John Hoffmann (Martha), Mazerolle Settlement, NB; his
grandchildren, Isabella and Samuel Hoffmann; a sister, Renee Kenny
(Bill), Milton, ON; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law in the
Gagne family; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis
Drive, Nackawic, NB on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 2 to 4 pm. A
funeral service will follow at 4 pm in the funeral home chapel with
Rev. Larry Matthews officiating. Interment will take place at a later
date.
A special thank you to the Dr. Everett Chalmers staff especially Dr.
Hadley for everything they did for Alex. Another special thanks to all
the Hospice Fredericton staff and volunteers for their tremendous care
and compassion.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Alex, the family
has suggested Hospice Fredericton.
