It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Joan Maloney announces her passing after a short illness, on July 22, 2019. Shirley was born in Montreal, Quebec on July 12, 1923. Shirley was a life long resident of Oakville, Mississauga & Bronte, Ontario. Her husband Earl Maloney – of 54 years, as well as a daughter Rosemary and a son Earl Jr. predeceased Shirley.
Her two surviving sons – John Maloney and husband David Wagner of Dallas, Texas & Patrick Maloney and wife Sylvia of Guelph, Ontario, will lovingly miss their mother. Shirley is also survived by her 3 granddaughters Rachel Wagner Koppa, Ashlea Wagner Stares and Sadie Maloney along with her 8 great grandchildren, Karyna Stares, Lincoln Stares, Kampbell Stares, Elliott Koppa, Sullivan Stares, Beckett Stares and Oakley Stares all of Dallas, Texas as well as Connor Maloney of Hamilton, Ontario.
Shirley was a devoted wife, mother & grandmother who loved to garden, travel and was an especially talented seamstress. The last years of Shirley’s life were spent at Amica Bronte Harbour, a Senior Living Facility in her beloved Bronte. The family wishes to thank the Amica staff for all the love and patience given to Shirley. Her elegance and candor will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
