Obituary for Joseph “Joe” DeCou
Joe DeCou, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Chatham-Kent Hospice on Thursday, August 1, 2019, at the age of 65. Joe is the son of the late John Coughlin “Jack” and Anne Bobier (Gollogly) DeCou. Loving father of Colleen Barnier (Scott). Cherished grandfather of Leah. Dear brother of Mary Anne Millson (Graham), Alice DeCou, Doug (Myrna), Colleen Jones (Joe), Lawrence (Kathy Monge), Paul (Margaret) and the late Jean and Gerry. Uncle of Jennifer Thompson (Mike), Jeff, Alicia, Yessica, Aimee, Adam, John and Ryan. Godfather to his niece Aimee and great niece Emily. He is loved and will be missed by Mary DeCou. Will also be missed by his many cousins. The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians Church on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 11 AM. Cremation will be followed by interment at Riverview Cemetery at a later date. If desired, remembrances to C-K Hospice may be left at the funeral home 519.627.3231.
