Charles Ashley Kenney

Charles’ Obituary
Charles Ashley Kenney, age 72, of North East Point passed away on August 29, 2019 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital with his family by his side. He was a son of the late Thomas and Gertrude (Blades) Kenney. Charlie was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Sports, camping, and travelling were just a few of Charlie’s passions. After retiring from carpentry, his hobby became designing and building sheds, one of which he generously donated to The Rosalin Nickerson Care Fund, a charity which meant a lot to him as a cancer survivor. He was a great help around the house and looked forward to people enjoying his homemade brown bread at family gatherings and holidays. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl (Cummins) Kenney; children, Kathi (Lou) Byrne, Kristi Kenney, Sam Kenney, Joey Kenney; step children, Stephanie (Don) Bell, Rhonda (T.W.) Christie, Chris (Sandy) Goodwin, Nicole (Gerard) Cameron; grandchildren Jackson, Benji, Kate-Lynn, Karley, Ashley; step grandchildren, Chasidy, Brooke, Lindsey, Daniel, Robynn, Lindsey, Riley, Tyler, Lucas, Gillian, Cameron; great grandchildren, Jonah, Kristopher, Kameryn; brother, Tom (Judi); nephews and many cousins. Charlie will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held Saturday August 31, 6-8 pm at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. There will be no funeral service as per Charles’ request. Memorial donations may be made to The Rosalin Nickerson Care Fund, or a charity of choice.
