James Leigh MacKay
1932-2019
Peacefully at the pallative care unit of the Western Hospital
Alberton on Wednesday August,28,2019 with his loving family by his
side of James Leigh MacKay of Alberton age 87 years. Beloved husband
to Shirley Margaret (nee Inman) MacKay.
Born at O’Leary P.E.I. on February 24,1932 he was the son of
the late Albert and Evelyn (nee Rix) MacKay. Lovingly remembered by
his son John (Stephanie) MacKay of Albany and by his step
children Douglas (Rebecca) McNeill, of Edmonton Alberta, Sharon (Rob)
Bologa of Bolton Ont., Brian McNeill of Brampton Ont., and Alan
(Denise) McNeill of Woodvale,P.E.I. Cherished grandfather to Jay,
Sarah, Keesha, Daniel, Sean, Ryan and Zachery. Great
grandfather to Owen.
Dear brother to Don, Lowell (Eileen) and Audrey.He is also
survivied by brother and sisters in law, Patricia (Late
Lawrence)Gallant, Norma (Late Roy) Adams, Mary (Late Vance) McNeill,
Brenda (Late Gerry) Batherson, Ron Inman, Helen Inman, Dwight Inman,
Peggy (Denis) Inman.
He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, nieces,
nephews, cousins, friends and by his many
acquaintences.
He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Evelyn
(nee Rix) MacKay a sister Cheryl MacKay and by a brother in law and
sister in law, Harold and Mina Inman.
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel Alberton.
Visiting hours Friday evening August 30,2019, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral Saturday afternoon August 31,2019 from the E.Gerald Rooney
Memorial Chapel Alberton at 2;00 p.m. Rev.Beth Cameron
officiating.
Interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery Alberton. As an
expression of sympathy in Leighs memory, memorials to the Campbellton
United Church Cemetery fund or the Sacred Heart Cemetery Fund would be
