Douglas Brian O’Donnell

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Partner, Dad and Pappa Doug O’Donnell on August 23 after a lengthy illness.
Doug was born in Toronto, Ontario. He moved to Trail in 1988 and then to Rossland in 1991. He worked for Home Goods as a flooring installer and in 2000 opened Doug O’Donnells Flooring at Home Goods. He worked for Maglios from 2004 till his retirement in 2011. Flooring was his life for over 50 years. Doug was an avid fisherman and loved boating. He was also an excellent pool player in his day and had a joke for everything.
Doug is survived by his partner of 28 years Anita, his children; Bill, Scott, Renee and Tania all of Ontario, 4 sisters; Marg, Connie, Laney and Barb, 5 step-children, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents and 2 sisters.
The families would like to thank Dr. Hii for his many years of care. To Dr. Kerby, thank you for taking Doug on as a patient and all your kindness. Thanks to all the Drs. and nurses in emergency and on 2nd floor at KBRH. A very special thank you to Derek Wolfe of Community Paramedics for all you did for Doug. He always looked forward to your visit.
You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence.
