Deanna JB Stairs nee MacNevin

The family of Deanna June Beatrice Stairs are sad to announce
her passing on August 25, 2019, at the Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital
after fighting a courageous battle. Deanna was born in Summerside, PEI
on July 13, 1950 to parents, the late Hubert and Doris (Vincent)
MacNevin.
She is survived by her husband, Hugh Stairs; her sons,
Preston Stewart and Trevor Stewart; a much-adored grandson, Dalton
Stewart; Brothers, Clifford MacNevin (Lorraine) and Wendall MacNevin,
as well as several nieces and nephews.
Deanna worked at Walmart, store 3032 until her illness would
not allow her to continue. She was well respected by her customers,
co-workers and managers at the store. In her spare time, she enjoyed
needle point, doing puzzles and enjoyed flowers. She was a very caring
and giving person, always thought of others and how she could be of
help if they needed it. She did a lot of fundraising for the
Cancer Society, Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation and
Lakeland Industries. She was a true and loyal
friend.
A visitation will be held at Bishops Funeral Home, 540
Woodstock Road, on Thursday, August 29th from
6-9pm. An Interment will be held at a later date in Summerside
PEI.
If so desired, the family has suggested that donations in
Deanna’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stoke
Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, Diabetes Association or a charity
of the donor’s choice.
