Obituary of Allan Hoyt Trott
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Allan Hoyt Trott announces his passing, which occurred on Sunday, August 25, 2019. Born in Saint John, N.B., he was a son of the late James and Josephine (Hoyt) Trott.
Allan worked with OTIS Canada for 42 years, continuing to work for Safety Services for the next 7 years. He was a member of UCT, joining in 1974, as well as an active member of Grand Bay Baptist Church for many years. He played ball for the KBM Aces for over 30 years. Allan was known to enjoy all sports and anything outdoors. But especially, Allan was known for his love of food, all food, any type, any time of day!!
Allan is survived by his companion Pat Hasson; children Donald and Lynn, Patti and Scott Gilbert, Mary Ouellette, and his only grandson, Samual Trott. He is also survived by his nephews John and Greg Gale, Peter, David and John Trott and niece Susan Welten.
Aside from his parents, Allan is predeceased by his wife, Jackie Trott; siblings Irvine, Donald, Muriel, Elmer and his wife Dorothy, as well as Paul and Shirley Gale.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 2:00 – 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Brenan’s Bay View Chapel.
