Harold Pfau
Harold Pfau, resident of Dimsdale, AB, formerly of Grande Prairie, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at the QEII Hospital, at the age of 90 years.
Harold was born August 17, 1929 in Goodfare, AB. Harold met his sweetheart, Doreen Camplair, and they married on November 9, 1955. They had three children: Diane, Gordon, and Jerry.
Harold worked in the Peace River area and obtained his second-class power engineering at Weyerhaeuser. Farming was always in his blood. In the past he owned land in Goodfare and eventually settled in Dimsdale. The Dimsdale home was their dream come true, farming and raising registered Hereford cattle.
Harold loved to work in his shop. He enjoyed fishing with this brothers and buddies, vacations, and conversations with family.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Doreen Pfau. Daughter Diane (Gene) Kimble; grandson Dallas (Shauna) and great-grandchildren Morgen and Ashtyn); grandson Darren (Carisa) and great-grandchildren Jordyn, Shayla, Jenna, and Taylor; grandson Devin (Carol) and great-grandchildren Colby and Sawyer. Son Gordon (Theresa) Pfau; grandson Craig (Heidi Cantalejo); granddaughter Kimberley (Ed) McLean and great-grandchildren Quinn and Kelty. Son Jerry (Kim) Pfau; grandson Myles (Alissa) and great-granddaughter Myah; grandson Jesse; and grandson Shane (Brooke Underwood).
Harold was predeceased by his father Oscar Pfau, mother Olga Pfau, sister Alice Nordhagen, as well as numerous in-laws and extended family.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019, at 10:30am, at Faith Lutheran Church in Grande Prairie (9610 108 Ave.).
Memorial donations may be made to Faith Lutheran Church (9610 108 Ave, Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 1N3).
