James Arthur Jimmy Blizzard

Obituary of James Arthur Blizzard
It is with profound love and sadness that the family of James Arthur “Jimmy” Blizzard announce his sudden passing which occurred on Monday, August 19, 2019. He was the son of the late Percy and Isabelle (Martin) Blizzard.
Jimmy retired from Maritime Paper after 44 years of dedicated service. He loved rock and roll music, antique cars and times spent at the cottage. Most of all, Jimmy loved being a husband and was an amazing father and “Papi.” He passed away doing what he loved, where he loved to be and with the people he loved.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 35 years, Norma (Watson) Blizzard; daughter, Amanda Blizzard (Chris); sons, Jamie Kennedy (Heather) and Jamie Moffatt (Jennifer) and beloved granddaughter, Taylor Moffatt. Jimmy will also be missed by his brothers, David (Deanna), Wayne (Pam) and John; sisters, Joan Theall (Buddy), Jean Little (Ralph), Gertrude Grant (Chris), Betty Ann Lamb and Barb Kox (Bill); as well as several nephews and nieces. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph, Percy “Whipper”, Donnie, Malcolm and Murray and sisters, Doreen, Mildred and Nancy.
In keeping with Jimmy’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
