It is with broken hearts that the
family of the late ALFRED S.
WHITE of Grand Bank announces his
passing. Mr. White passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health
Care Centre in Burin on Friday, August 16th,
2019 at the age of 85. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of
wonderful memories are his wife, Vida of 55 years; son, Paul White
(Laura) of Grand Bank; 2 grandchildren, Caleb and Laura White;
sisters, Maria Hiscok, Doris Parsons (Ted), and Jane Carroll;
sister-in-law, Mary Engram (Rodney); brothers-in-law, Carl Bungay
(Elaine), Gerald Bungay (Mary) and Jack Bungay (Amy); plus a large
circle of extended family and friends. Alfred was
predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth & Gilbert White;
brothers, Adolph, John and Bert White; sisters, Georgie Snow, Martha
Tartius, and Ivy Hook; parents-in-law, Caleb & Ethel Bungay;
and nephew, Roland Hiscock.
The White Family will be
accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Grand Bank on
Saturday, August 17th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm;
and Sunday, August 18th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will take place
Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Grand Bank on Monday, August
19th at 2:00 pm. Interment will
follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Grand Bank.
In Alfred’s
memory donations can be made to the Salvation Army, Grand Bank or
Grand Bank United Church or flowers gratefully accepted.
