Obituary of Russ Ralph
RALPH, Russell Walter
Passed very peacefully into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, August 10, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Ruth (departed June 1, 2015) for over 73 years. Survived by his three sons Peter (Sharon), Daniel (Melodie), Philip (Janny) and predeceased by his daughter Nancy (Joe Bailey) in 2009. Loving Grandfather of 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Russ will be dearly missed by his brother, Walter (Jo) and by his many nieces and nephews. Russ was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Leading Air Craftsman (LAC) from 1941 to 1945. Russ was a long-time resident of Stoney Creek and was well known for his long career at Stoney Creek Dairy for over three decades. Before retiring Russ served as Manager of Food Services at the Canadian Bible College in Regina, SK. He and Ruth were founding members of Stoney Creek Alliance Church and in their retirement years enjoyed the fellowship of the Tuesday Christian Seniors Coffee Hour at Winona Vine Estates. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday, August 19 at 12 noon for visitation before the Memorial Service at 1:30 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
