BENJAMIN, Yvonne – Peacefully at her home with family by her side on Saturday, June 29, 2019, Yvonne Claudia Benjamin, nee Chase, of London and formerly of Sault Ste. Marie age 86. Beloved wife for 63 years of Dr. Carlton Benjamin. Loving mother of Jackie, Audrey, Roger, June, and Owen. Dear grandmother of Taylor, Daniel, and Riley. Sister of Vickie, Pammy, Patsy, Stella, Honoria, Terry and the late Bing, Keith and Lance. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Yvonne was a long-time employee of Sault Ste. Marie Public Library where she was the head of the reference department. She was an honourable woman and will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Cheapside St. at Maitland on Saturday, July 6 at 10:30 am. Interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Memorial contributions to London Regional Cancer Program would be appreciated.
