1949-2019
Following a lengthy illness, Wayne Baxter Hughes of Bairdsville, NB,
passed away at the Upper River Valley Hospital on July 23, 2019.
Wayne was born in Juniper, NB, on May 31, 1949. He was the son of the
late Harold and Yvonne (Landry) Hughes. Wayne leaves behind his loving
wife of 50 years, Barbara Hughes (White); his daughter, Karen Johnston
(Rick) of Beaconsfield, NB; his sons, Richard Hughes of Bairdsville,
NB, Trevor Hughes (Laurie) of Beaconsfield, NB; twelve grandchildren
and eleven great grandchildren; his sisters, Sandra Broad of
Johnville, NB, Judy Lang (Michael) of Wapske, NB, Liz Hughes of Grand
Manan Island, NB.
Wayne was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Earl
“Joe” Hughes.
Resting at the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church in River de Chute, NB,
with visitation on Thursday from 12-2 pm. Funeral service will be held
on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 2 pm from the church. Rev. Mildred
Nicholson officiating, assisted by Rev. Zack Wilson. Interment will
follow in the River de Chute Cemetery.
For those who wish, memorial donation to the Canadian Diabetes
Association or the Canadian Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by
the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
