1947-2019
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Wayne
George Lozier on July 16, 2019 at the age of 72 after a long
courageous battle with health issues.
Wayne is survived by his children, Jason Lozier (Marsha) of
Canterbury, Michelle Dow (Troy) of Canterbury, two granddaughters,
Hayley and Jaiden (Jason), mother in law, Barbara Lyons, aunt Norma
Crandlemere of Skiff Lake, sisters in law Jackie Walker (Wayne) of
Meductic, Debbie Farrell (Rollen) of Fosterville, Pamela Gavel
(Sheldon) of Meductic, brothers in law, Dana Lyons (Gabe) of British
Columbia, Derrick Sewell (Marlene) of Boisetown, Bill Holt of Alberta,
special friend, Donnie Derrick (Dorrine) of Woodstock, several other
nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends.
Wayne was predeceased by his wife, Darlene (Lyons), his
mother, Ruth (Crandlemere) Lozier, father, Romeo Lozier, his sister,
Alice Holt, maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, two uncles,
George and Alexander Crandlemere, father in law, Leroy Lyons and
surrogate father Marvin McElroy.
Wayne was born in Woodstock NB on June 25, 1947. Wayne grew
up in Canterbury NB and graduated from Canterbury Regional School in
1969. From there he met and married the love of his life Darlene. He
attended post-secondary school, where he received his certificate to
teach. Upon receiving this certificate he was hired full time in
Nackawic where he taught shop, and numerous other
subjects.
He retired from teaching in 2002 but kept busy doing
carpentry jobs and hosting many benefit variety shows.
Wayne will be fondly remembered for his passion to help
others in need, as well as his contribution and involvement with so
many activities in his community.
Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral
Home & Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road
Jacksonville on Thursday, July 18, 2019 from 5 PM to 8 PM. Funeral
service will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 11 AM from The
Carleton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the
Canterbury Fire Department or to the Canterbury Cemetery
Fund.
