Obituary of Therese Olinna Schwartz (nee Lafleur)
It is with great sadness that the family of Therese Schwartz announces her passing, at the Long Term Care Facility (CISSS) in Shawville, Quebec at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Wilbert Schwartz (1995). Loving mother of Della Lecompte (Jean), Delta Tremblay (Claude), Carol Asselin (Philippe) and Willard (Deb Ross). Lovingly remembered by 8 grandchildren; Tracy, Jason, Stephane, Justin, Melissa (Mark Young), Lisa, Pierre and Hilary and 7 great-grandchildren; Ophelie, Steven, Cedric, Loic, Jasmin, Alexi and Madison. Predeceased by her parents Emmanuel Lafleur and Oliva Gravelle, 8 sisters and 5 brothers. Survived by two sisters-in-law; Viola Schwartz (late Clarence) and Essie Schwartz (late Ernest Jr.). Also remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Theresa had an unwavering faith in God and was a member of the St. Charles Borromeo Church choir in Otter Lake, Quebec. Over the years she assisted with many Church activities including numerous fundraising events. Gardening, music and quilting were her passions. Funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, Otter Lake, Quebec on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 2 p.m. Interment in the Parish Cemetery. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Dr. Lamarche and staff at the Long Term Care Facility for the care, comfort and support shown to our mother over the past 3 ½ years. Memorial donations can be made to the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation, Long Term Care Facility, Shawville, Quebec or to the Arthritis Foundation.
