SYLVIA WAGHORN
1938 – 2019
Sylvia passed away on July 1st surrounded by her sons Ron and Perry, daughter-in-law Michelle and grandson Samson.
Sylvia is predeceased by her loving husband Art, her brother Stan and her sisters-in-law Gale and Loretto.
She was an amazing grandma to Samson, Kaylin and Dana (Zip-line adventure at 75 years old anyone?).
She will be missed by her sisters Gayle (Hank) and Diana (Terry), brothers-in-law Harry (Louise) and Jack, nieces and nephews Jo, Mike and Jenny, Sean and Scott, Linda, Rob and Carol, their spouses and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Sylvia has had a lifetime of cherished relationships with the people in her family, church and community. She was always happy to lend a hand to those in need. In the true spirit of a dedicated volunteer, she didn’t want recognition or to be the focus of attention. It’s in light of that perspective that Sylvia requested that there be no visitation, memorial service or funeral.
Sylvia’s family would like to express our deepest appreciation to the nurses and doctors who cared for her during her stay at Renfrew Victoria Hospital.
Thanks to all of you who have been part of Sylvia’s life and thank you for sharing your stories of her with us. You were all special to her and we are happy that she was important to you.
