Obituary of Shirley Ada Spencer
SPENCER, Shirley Ada (McCoul) – age 80, of Shubenacadie, died June 14, 2019 at the Mira, Truro. She was a daughter of the late Aldaniel and Mary Edith (Daniels)McCoul. She was the last surviving member of her family.
Shirley worked in her early years as a telephone operator for what used to be MT&T. She later became a devoted stay at home mother.
Shirley is survived by daughter, Deanna and son, Dwayne, both of Shubenacadie; several nieces, nephews and cousins; sisters in law, Daisy McCoul, Stewiacke; and Shirley Restrick, Ontario; brother in law, Alan Spencer, Enfield.
She was predeceased by husband, Eldon Spencer; sisters, Nellie, Dorothy and Pearl; brothers, Ervin, Arthur, Aubrey, Cyril and Rex.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held 6-8pm, Tuesday, June 18, in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie from where a funeral service will take place 2pm, Wednesday, June 19. Interment to follow.
Donations in Shirley’s memory may be made to Brookside Cemetery or SPCA.
