Shirley Jean
Savage (Johnston), 92, of The Grass Home, Riverview, and formerly of
Fredericton, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, July
5, 2019.
Born in
Johnston Point, NB, she was the daughter of the late Basil and Alcora
(Tingley) Johnston.
Shirley was
a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and
sister. She was a member of St. Dunstan’s Roman
Catholic Church, Fredericton.
Shirley will
be sadly missed by her son, Shane Savage (Rose) of Moncton;
grandchildren, Lindsay, Brian, Emma and John; great grandchildren,
Emilia, Aren, Henry, George, Rose and Miche; brother, Lynwood Johnston
(Goldie) of Johnston Point and several nieces, nephews and extended
family members.
In addition
to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Judge Brian G.
Savage; daughter, Tara and brother Robert “Bob”
Johnston.
Funeral Mass
will be celebrated from Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic
Church, Fatima Drive, on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 11:00 am, with
Rev. Phil Mulligan presiding. Reception following the Mass. Interment
will be in St. Bartholomew’s Cemetery,
Melrose.
Arrangements
under the professional guidance of Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657
Mountain Road, Moncton
(858-1995).
