Sharon Louise George – Londonderry, NS.
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Sharon Louise George on June 18, 2019 in the QEII Health Science Centre, Dixon Building, Halifax.
Born in Truro on August 26, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Alton and Muriel (Cooke) Rushton.
She loved her days at Bingo and was a member of the Great Village Fire Brigade, Ladies Auxiliary. She loved being around family and friends always willing to help people when needed.
She will be deeply missed by her husband Alton George, her daughter, Carrie (Stephen), sons, Laurie (Lisa), David (Vanessa), Wayne (Ashley), Step children, Sherry and Ronnie; grandchildren, Brian, Justin, Jacob, Chellcea, Brandon, Damien, Serena, Mike, Joey, Lucas, Liam, Patince, Sydney, Marshall, Alea, Sophie, Nayla and great grandchildren. Sharon is also survived by brother, Micheal (Carol); sister, Anna; sister-in-law, Debbie; nephew and nieces.
Besides her parents she was predeceased brothers, Terry, Timmy, Chris; brother-in-law, Dale Rushton and nephew, Jody Rushton.
To Celebrate Sharon’s Life we will hold a visitation at the Londonderry Community Hall on June 29th from 11am – 1pm.
Donations in Sharon’s Memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NS, Kidney Foundation of NS or the Diabetes Association of NS.
