Sharon Campbell Smith Kennedy Wednesday June 19th 2019

Smith, Sharon Campbell – 70, Shortts Lake. It is with broken hearts, we the family of Sharon “Sherry” (nee Kennedy) Smith, announce her sudden passing on June 19, 2019 at home. She was the daughter of the late Percy and Ella (Campbell) Kennedy. She was the loving wife of Allan “Smitty” Smith, her high school sweetheart, and devoted mother to daughter, Kimberly (Kevin) Merriam and son, Cory. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. The highlight of Sharon’s life were her three precious grandchildren, Nathan, Regan and Ryan Merriam. There are so many memories of this family at their beautiful home at the lake with family and friends. Sharon loved to entertain and was a true people person. Allan and Sharon also loved their piece of paradise in Palmetto, Fl. They were “snowbirds” for the past ten years and met so many wonderful people in their Florida community. Sharon graduated as a lab technician and worked in many positions in the Colchester Regional Hospital. She had an outgoing personality and made friends easily, many of which she worked with on a daily basis. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, John and parents-in-law, Clarence and Isabel Smith. A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 22nd from 1-4 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro with a private family interment at a later date. Donations in her memory may be to the Canadian Cancer Society. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.ColchesterCommunity.com
