S. Arlene Jean Martin
Martin, Sylvia Jean “Arlene” – 58, Truro, NS. It is with great sadness that the family of Sylvia Jean “Arlene” Martin announces her passing on July 27, 2019. She was born to Doris Abram and the late Richard Martin on January 4, 1961 in Chatham, NB. Arlene is survived by her longtime partner and best friend, Lloyd Johnson; daughters, Melanie and Hollie (Justin) both of Truro; sons, Leon (Dannielle), Alberta and Vance (Truro); twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild as well as sisters, Theresa (Millbrook) and Lorna (Burnt Church); brothers, Allen (Truro), Richard (Truro), Dalin (Burnt Church) and John (Millbrook). Besides her father, she was predeceased by her daughter, Alana MacKay and brothers, Roy, Carl, Gerry, Darrel and Donnie. The body is resting in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro where visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 31st from 2 – 4p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. only. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 1st at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, Millbrook with Father Dariusz Miskowicz officiating. Burial in Sacred Heart Church Cemetery.
