MILLER, Robert – It is with a sadness that fills my heart that we announce the passing of a dear husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather Robert Miller on Sunday, July 21st; retired Domtar employee. Beloved husband of 62 years to Barbara (née Atchison) Miller. Loved father of Brent (Karen) and Scott (Diana). Sadly missed by his grandchildren Shawna Rousseau (Kristopher), Sarah Ballantyne (Carson), Alex; beloved Poppa Bob of Hannah Mae and River Margaret. Predeceased by his grandson Patrick; parents Frank and Rose (née Tabram) Miller; siblings Jack, Frank, and Dorothy Miller, Irene Hazelton, Frances Montgomery, Rose McGregor, and Margaret Varin. Bob was a devoted husband, and a loving father, who enjoyed his family, loved to travel, played a mean game of golf (the older he got the better he was). He and his wife spent many winters in Florida at their second home, where they enjoyed the company of their friends from Cornwall, and also many parts of the the States. He will be missed by all who knew him. Resting at the Wilson Funeral Home 822 Pitt Street, where visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Liturgy of the Word in celebration of his life will be held in the chapel of the Wilson Funeral Home on Friday July 26, 2019 at 10:00 AM. Rite of Committal at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery, Cornwall. If so desired, contributions in his memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association ( www.diabetes.ca ) would be appreciated by the family. Online messages of condolence may be made in the obituary section of: www.wilsonfuneralhome.ca
