Robert (Bob)’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Robert (Bob) Meaney announce his passing at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at the age of 69 years. He is survived by his wife Ellen of 49 years; daughter Joanne, granddaughter Erin and grandson Jordan and their father Sam Fiander. His son, Robert. His siblings: Jerome Meaney (Helen), Catherine Meaney, Joan Gilley, Anne Marie LeDrew (Basil). Brothers in Law Jack Tarrant (Angela), Tony Tarrant. Sisters in law Patricia Armstrong (Bernie), Christine Hayman (Berk) and a large circle of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. Robert was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary Meaney, In Laws John and Rita Tarrant and sister in law Catherine Attard. A visitation for family and friends will be held from Country Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A mass of Christian burial be held on 10am Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer and of the Immaculate Conception on Mount Bernard Avenue. At Robert’s request, cremation is to follow and an interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted and memorial donations can be made to the Cuddle Beds for the Palliative Care Unit.
