Deckert, Richard A.
Passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Elizabeth “Betty” for 46 years. Loving father of Pamela Hutchings (Rick), Christine Sciascetti (Ryan) and Mark Deckert (Carolina). Proud Papa of Justin, Victoria, Bentley, Brianna, Jack and Max. Survived by his brother Kevin (Eleanor). He will be sadly missed by his tribe of family and friends. Richard was a proud member of the Optimist Club, longtime volunteer at the Museum, member of the Friends of Doon, known for his love of trains, and a longtime employee of Uniroyal.
Richard’s family will receive relatives and friends from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019 and from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow.
