Obituary of Paul Raymond Musial
The family announces the death of Paul Raymond Musial, 86, Antigonish, NS on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home. Born in New Waterford on November 23, 1932 he was the youngest of 10 children of the late Michael and Bertha (Boutilier) Musial.
Dad worked many years for the Ontario and NS Department of Agriculture. After retiring he and mum purchased and operated a convenience store for several years. For a few years he operated a Christmas tree/wreath business. He loved music, playing piano and guitar, and being outdoors. His faith was very important to him. He was a member of St. Ninian’s parish and volunteered at the Antigonish Food Bank.
He is survived by children, Anne (Herman) van den Heuvel, Skye Glen, NS; Paula (Sandra MacMurray), Halifax; Joey Bishop, Bowmanville, ON; Michael (Alanna), Beaver Cove, NS; Susan (Myles) Hickey, Antigonish; Stephen (Fran), Oshawa, ON; Martin, Winnipeg; brother, Greg (Anne), Gardiner Mines, NS; Sisters, Bertha (Archie) MacDonald, Gardiner Mines; Isabel, Dominion; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Sue (Duprey); brothers Mike, Charlie and Conrad; sisters, Lenora, Rena and Toni.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00-1:30 pm in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant Street, Antigonish. Funeral mass will be held the same day at 2:00 pm in St. Ninian’s Cathedral with Rev. Donald MacGillivray presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to any food bank or charity of choice. Online condolences: www.MacIsaacs.ca
