Olga Ruzycki (Dashkevich)
On July 8, 2019, the Lord called Olga Ruzycki (nee Dashkevich) to be reunited with her loving husband, Nelson, in eternal rest.
Olga was born July 2, 1937 in Mundare, AB to George and Annie Dashkevich. On July 16, 1957 she married Herbert Nelson Ruzycki, moved to Edmonton where she had a career in banking. Olga had a passion for sports, music, travel, gardening and her family. Left to celebrate her life is her only child, Tracy Workun (Don Veenstra); granddaughter, Amber (Cody) Hofstra; grandson, Chris Workun; great-grandsons, Van and Rhys Hofstra; sister, Phyllis (Elmer) Fasek; nephews, Wade (Jane), Wayne (Paola) and Darcy (Brett) Fasek and their families.
Divine Liturgy Friday, July 12 at 10:30 a.m. at Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 3639 – 116 Avenue, Edmonton. Reverend Serhiy Harahuc officiating with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Suite 104, 12220 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton, AB T5N 3Y4.
