It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Norman Marshall Dodds which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, July 22nd, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Born 1951, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, he was the son of the late Samuel and Sadie (Marshall) Dodds. Norman worked for Anglophone South School District for several years before retiring in 2017. He was a Soccer Coach for 25 years and he loved gardening.
Norman is survived by his loving and devoted wife Maxine (Miller) of 50 years; daughters Dawn Glaspy (Lenny Malley) of Moncton, NB, Lynne Sullivan (Shawn) of Edmonton, AB; son Jeremy Duplissea of Calgary, AB; grandchildren Brendan Glaspy (April Barrett-Kay), Kira Sullivan (Gregg Sutton), Shawn Sullivan (Madalyn Savoy) and Chris Glaspy (Sarah); great grandchild Tatum Raelynne Sutton; many brothers and sisters in Belfast, Northern Ireland; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). As per Norman’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Norman may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or to The New Brunswick Lung Association.
