Norma Thomson (nee Eaves)
formerly of Arthur passed away peacefully at Saint Luke’s Place, Hespler, Cambridge on Wednesday July 17, 2019 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Graham Thomson (2009). Dear mother of Myles and Nancy Thomson of Cambridge, Barrie and Barbara Thomson of Hamilton and David and Lynne Thomson of Cambridge. Cherished grandmother of Tina, Maggie, Greg, Amanda, and Sarah. Great grandmother of Alex, Grace, Graham and Arya. Sister of Richard Eaves. Fondly remembered by Donna as well as by her nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her brother Roy Eaves and grandsons Matthew and Michael. To honour Norma’s wishes cremation has taken place.
The family will receive friends at the Crawford Funeral Chapel, 243 George Street, Arthur on Wednesday July 31, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday August 1, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Private family interment in Belsyde Cemetery, Fergus.
Peace Chapter #52 Order of the Eastern will conduct an Eastern Star Service on Wednesday evening at 6:15 p.m.
A Celebration of life will also be held at St. Luke’s Place Cambridge on Thursday, August 8, 2019 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
The family would also like to all of the staff at Saint Luke’s Place for their care and compassion for Norma since she moved there in 2010. As expressions of sympathy donations to Saint. Luke’s Place would be appreciated by the family.
