TOSWELL, Noreen Mary
Peacefully, at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Friday, July 5, 2019, at the age of 90. Noreen (Piper) was the beloved wife of Harold Toswell of Powassan. She was the much-loved mother of Catherine Minkowskyj (John) of North Bay, Paul Toswell of Nipissing and Martha Wood (Brian) of Bolton. Grandma will be lovingly remembered by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Noreen was the dear sister of the late Theron Piper (the late Marjorie). Noreen was a familiar face in the cafeteria of Almaguin Highlands Secondary School during the 70s and 80s where she rose to manager. The Toswell family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, July 9 from 10:00 to 11:00 am followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. Cremation will follow. Private interment of ashes will take place at Nipissing Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to Nipissing Knox United Church or the Heart & Stroke Foundation are suggested (cheques only please).
